A fine miniature portrait of a lady painted on ivory, circa 1810. The picture depicts a lady with a white dress and red robe that has her hair styled in the Empire period taste. The portrait, likely English in origin, retains its original timber frame and is backed in marbled paper. The picture is simply initialled 'EP' which is very likely the artists initials.
