An exceptional Art Deco sterling silver cigarette or jewel box designed by Johan Rohde (1856-1935) for Georg Jensen. The silver box had a berry finial positioned to the centre of an incised lozenge and the bottom rim of the box has a part beaded edge. The crisp Jensen markings date the piece to between 1915 and 1935 and it has an exact date mark for '1920' giving a year of manufacture. Entirely hand beaten this box is in exceptional condition and is free of monogram which is rare for a piece of this age.
