A fine gold, diamond and sapphire 'Templar' ring by esteemed British jeweller, Elizabeth Gage. The 18 karat yellow and white gold 'cigar' band shaped ring is set with a central 3.20 carat cabochon 'moderately bright mid slightly purplish blue moderately included' sapphire which has been rub-over set. To each side of this sapphire sit three brilliant cut diamonds of G colour and VS-SI clarity diamonds weighing a combined 0.30 carat. The band of the ring is further accented with yellow gold 'balls' which have been symmetrically placed around the sapphire and diamonds. The edges of the ring have been finished with a twisted gold wire cord which has been beautifully executed. Elizabeth Gage has been making 'Templar' rings which have an Etruscan revival aesthetic for a number of decades. This particular Templar ring is in excellent condition and appears to be entirely original, however cannot be sized up due to its construction. If necessary it could be made to fit a slightly smaller finger with the addition of some gold strips inside the ring. A really beautiful example of the work of Elizabeth Gage.
