This beautiful 19th Century fob features an oval amethyst intaglio seal with initials inscribed into it. The piece dates to circa 1840, is gold filled, and depicts a small hare or rabbit jumping across the top of the piece near the bale. The amethyst 'seal' features in period script the monogram of 'SAB' which has been beautifully rendered. In beautiful condition the piece would be a pleasant addition to a fob chain or would be equally as beautiful hung from a fine gold chain as we have depicted in our in-situ photograph. Nearing 200 years of age the piece is a stunning example of jewellery from the late Georgian/Early Victorian period.
