A superb and oversized ceramic cache pot/vase designed by Christopher Dresser for SCI of Italy. The large pink piece was designed by Dresser, an Englishman, however executed by the SCI (Societa Ceramica Italiana of Laveno) in Italy around 1912. The piece is in the Art Nouveau taste and is typical of the work he was creating in the late 19th century when he was at his height. There are some minor inconsistencies in the glaze which are not flaws, rather just expected with a piece of this size produced during the early 20th century. Unusually big this piece would be incredible filled with a large maidenhair fern or filled with an oversized floral arrangement.
