A pair of 18 karat purple plated white gold, lavender jade, amethyst, diamond and tourmaline drop earrings by Brazilian designer Fernando Jorge. This pair of versatile earrings feature a detachable central 'drop' earring comprising of a piece of pear shaped cabochon lavender jadeite suspended from a pear shaped pink tourmaline 'stud'. This drop is articulated and therefore moves or 'trembles' with movement when worn. This stud drop can be inserted into a larger framework of pear shaped amethysts and diamonds further set with grain set diamonds to give a larger and fuller look, whilst remaining detachable, enabling the earrings to have two different styles. This pair are of exceptional quality and the finishes on the earrings is some of the best we have seen. The appearance is unique and will definitely draw the gaze of admirers due to their colour, form and versatility. The designer Fernando Jorge is Brazilian born and studied at London's Central Saint Martins and now creates jewellery for the luxury market. Whilst the pair are unmarked, they are a known Jorge design and are exceptionally well crafted. The earrings are in wonderful condition however one amethyst has a slight chip which is mainly only visible with magnification from a jewellers loupe or microscope.
