An unusual 14 karat yellow gold bracelet in the Victorian taste with delicate black enamelling. The small bar riveted style bracelet has a hinged lid centre box with black enamelled inlay as a feature with scalloped end cap and slide which form a buckle end. The piece has a concealed white gold tongue and box clasp with a Prince of Wales safety chain complete with bolt ring clasp, both working and in good condition. The hinged lid opens to reveal a cavity, likely from where a small manual watch was once housed. This watch has been removed leaving the piece to remain simply a bracelet. In the Victorian taste, this piece likely dates to the early 20th century and given the gold purity it can be safely assumed the piece is American in origin. A beautifully finished handmade bracelet that has a nice weight and feel.
