A beautiful Edwardian era gold and diamond hinged bangle. This bangle features a delicate scroll motif top which has been set with 16 brilliant old cut diamonds of I/J colour and SI/P1 clarity which total 1.04 carat. The underside of the bangle is a simple hollow band of 14 karat gold which with a hinge and tongue and box clasp connects the piece to the delicate Edwardian top. There is a small figure of eight safety catch which adds extra security to the piece when worn. Due to the construction of this bracelet we believe it likely to be a conversion piece, with the top panel of scrollwork and diamonds very likely originally a hair barrette. The barrette has had the pin removed and been placed centrally to reinvent the piece into a more wearable piece of arm wear. Delicate and beautifully crafted this hinged bangle will undoubtedly attract envious glances.
