This diamond and Burmese ruby ring is crafted from 18 karat gold and is what is known as a 'double halo' setting. The ring centres on one round cabochon ruby which weighs 3.85 carat and has an accompanying GIA report. The report details that the ruby is of Myanmar (Burma) origin and that it has been heated with 'moderate residues'. The cabochon is 'dark pinkish red, heavily included with some surface reaching' however appears clean to the naked eye. The first halo of 20 diamonds surrounding the ruby are all round brilliant cuts of F/G colour and SI clarity totalling 0.30 carat. The second halo of diamonds are also round brilliant cuts which are again of F/G colour however are VS-SI clarity and total 1.80 carat. A beautifully made ring with excellent stones, the piece could even be used as an engagement ring for someone who wants a point of difference.
