This rather weighty 18 karat yellow gold bracelet was crafted by the French maison Cartier however manufactured in Italy. The piece features 28 articulated links and is held in place with a fold over and loop type clasp which is the 'signature' of this interesting bracelet. The piece is part of the Cartier 'Agrafe' collection in which the maison are known for crafting pieces in different coloured metals and embellishing with diamonds, however this is a 'plain' version. Whilst most Agrafe pieces by Cartier are manufactured in France, there are several other examples on the market like this piece which were in fact crafted in Italy. The piece is fully hallmarked and also features a partially rubbed registration or cataloguing mark. This mark is slightly rubbed for the first three digits and could either read '983' or '993' depending on how closely it is inspected. This hefty bracelet would look beautiful stacked with more gold arm-wear and could be a nice alternative for a Cartier 'love' bangle.
