This round yellow gold locket is likely French in origin and features beautiful blue guilloche enamelling and a central single cut diamond. The rear back panel of the locket is plain yellow gold while the front panel of the locket features a Belle Epoque style decoration. The guilloche blue enamelling radiates from the centre and to the top section features an engraved 'V' from which two gold scrolls stem and a rub-over set 0.01 carat single cut diamond. There is what we believe to be a single very small rubbed hallmark, likely a French eagle head, indicating French manufacture. This theory is supported by the fact that the locket has a very French, Belle Epoque style appearance and feel. The catch to the top of the locket is working well and is secure, ready to be hung from a fine chain for regular wear.
