A George II mourning ring in its original box dating to 1781. To the rear is an inscription indicating it was in remembrance of Thomas Grimsby, a young sea captain. To the front is a hand painted urn with the initials 'TG', under what is likely an Essex crystal. The ring in unmarked however is likely to be a high carat English gold.

Size - 55/O
Total weight of ring - 2.5 grams
