An art deco porcelain figural study of a tiger and its buck prey designed by John Skeaping for the Wedgwood factory.
Wedgwood commissioned Skeaping in the 1920s to create a series of 14 animal models in the art deco style to attract a wider audience during a depleted market. 10 of the 14 designs were put into production combining minimalist, angular designs with a more affordable price point, ensuring the series popularity with the public.
