A superb pair of 'Yokohama' Meiji period silver bowls with applied iris motif. The pair of hand hammered double walled solid silver bowls were crafted in Japan in the very early 20th century, right at the end of the Meiji period. The bowls feature a fine hand hammered silver ground with applied repousse irises and each rest atop of a round collar base. Signed to the underside with an applied makers mark medallion the pair are a beautiful example of the fine silver originating in Japan during the early 20th century.
