A beautiful Art Deco period platinum and diamond brooch by Argentinian maker, Walser Wald. The handmade platinum brooch separates off the frame it is presented on and becomes two identical dress pins, sometimes known as 'collar clips'. The two clips are set with a total of 54 rose cut diamonds which are of I colour and SI/P1 clarity and two brilliant old cut diamonds of H colour and SI clarity. The rear of the brooch features a hinged pin and hook clasp in platinum which is working well and is secure. The piece is presented in a period box which it was acquired with, however may not be original to the item due to the label. It is possible that the retailer listed on the box was the outlet for Walser Wald in the United Kingdom. An exceptional piece of Art Deco jewellery in pristine condition, and by a desirable maker.
