This really charming tazza or footed comport was crafted by Georg Jensen in a design first conceived by Johan Rohde (1856-1935) known as pattern '574C'. The piece features a shallow bowl to the top which is supported by an openwork stylised leaf and flower stem that sits atop a ribbed circular foot. Johan Rohde was one of the most famous designers who worked for Jensen and is responsible for several very iconic designs such as the Acorn pattern and Cosmos tea set. This tazza or footed comport features crisp markings to the underside for Jensen products made post-1945, however, it is hard to give a precise date for the piece other than it was likely made in the second half of the 20th Century. A gorgeous addition to a sideboard to fill with chocolates or even delightful on the Christmas table filled with rich red cherries.
