A fine late Art Deco period cocktail ring crafted from 18 karat white gold. The 27 stone ring is set with a central 6 carat oval cabochon cut white opal. The opal grades as 'white with mixed floral rolling pattern of red blue green violet flash' and has been set in its ornate setting with 26 single cut diamonds. The shoulders of this piece feature sweeping ribbons of white gold, reflective of the late 1930s and early 1940s jewellery design. The ring is so beautifully handcrafted, especially when viewed from behind when not worn at which point one can really appreciate the craftsmanship of the jeweller.
