This charming brooch pin has been crafted from 14 karat white gold and set with diamonds and akoya pearls. The brooch centres on a central akoya pearl and is surrounded by a further six. A gemologist has classed the pearls as 'round, light cream/pink overtone, very good lustre, slight blemish' and notes them to be cultured akoya type pearls. The pearls are accented with openwork sections of round brilliant cut and single cut diamonds, each of G/H colour and VS clarity totalling 2.06 carat. To the rear of the brooch is a hinged pin with roller catch and both are working well and are secure. This piece has so many possibilities, simply as a brooch on a black coat, fastened to a piece of velvet as a choker, or even pinned into the hair for a formal event.
