This knockout bracelet was made from 14 karat yellow gold during the mid 20th Century. The woven gold bracelet which is entirely adjustable has been set with a diamond and sapphire clasp and terminates with a diamond set 'tail'. The woven 'fabric' like gold has very close similarities to the work of French goldsmith, Georges L'Enfant, and is undoubtedly inspired by his work. The wonderful thing about this bracelet is that it can accomodate any wrist size, whether it be small or large. The hinged clasp has been set with 14 blue sapphires and 16 round brilliant cut diamonds with a further 9 diamonds set in the 'tail'. The bracelet is signed 'S' for an unknown maker, however it is likely American in origin and would date to the 1960s. The clasp on the bracelet closes securely and in general the piece is in very good vintage order. An absolutely stunning example of mid century cocktail jewellery.
