14kt Gold Anchor Link or Gucci Link Chain

This weighty necklace was manufactured in Italy and is what is known as a 'Gucci' link or 'mariner' link chain. The necklace has been crafted from solid 14 karat yellow gold and is hallmarked for manufacture by the Italian maker 'Balestra', who are known for their quality chains. This particular piece is heavy in the hand and while there may be several comparable versions on the market, this particular example is solid, and not of hollow manufacture as many often are. The necklace terminates with a bolt ring clasp which is working well and is secure, providing many more years of wear from this quality chain.
