A very fine 18 karat rose and yellow gold French, hinged bangle with a cabochon emerald, dating to the late 19th century. The piece is entirely handmade and features a beautifully pierced and engraved band which has to the centre a round medallion, housing a round cabochon cut emerald. The piece has a concealed tongue and box clasp which has four very tiny French marks. One mark appears to be the French purity mark while the others are unfortunately indecipherable however likely makers marks. A gorgeous and original piece of French 19th century jewellery in very fine condition for an item crafted so finely.
