Art Deco Diamond Drop Earrings in 18kt Gold

This pair of drop earrings date to the Art Deco era and are set with old European cut diamonds in two tone 18 karat gold. The earrings stem from a continental lever back clip fitting from which drops a line of old cut and rose cut diamonds which terminate on each earring with a champagne colour old European cut diamond which has been four claw set. The two largest diamonds which are champagne in colour have been graded to be between a C3 and a C4 and of SI to I1 clarity. The balance of the stones are of G/H colour and SI to I1 clarity, totalling with their larger counterparts 1.12 carat. The earrings likely date to the 1930s, the height of the Art Deco period, and are in lovely condition for their age. A beautiful pair of earrings which can be worn casually or with a little black frock for a more formal occasion.
