We are very excited to present this wonderful handcrafted bracelet by Mario Buccellati. The two tone bracelet consists of woven gold ovals of alternating 18 karat yellow and 18 karat white gold that has been woven or braided. The interlocked links have then been very finely brushed to give a softer matte finish which could be described as a Florentine finish. The bracelet features a tongue and box clasp and two figure of eight safety catches which are all incorporated into an integrated link clasp. The clasp and safety catches are working well and are secure, ensuring the piece stays on tightly with three points of attachment. Whilst this bracelet is on the smaller side in terms of its circumference it certainly makes up for that in its quality craftsmanship by arguably Italy's most highly regarded goldsmith, Mario Buccellati. Whilst it is hard to give a precise date for its manufacture it is likely to date to the late 20th Century. An exceptional piece of Italian gold jewellery.
