Description
A beautifully handmade dress ring from the Retro period of the mid 20th century. The piece is handcrafted from 18 karat white gold and has been set with single cut diamonds and a central cultured Akoya type pearl. The shoulders of the ring, set with diamonds, sweep up like flowing ribbon to meet at the centre with the beautiful white pearl. The ring has a bold design reminiscent of the 1940s and 1950s cocktail period jewellery, along with a date inscribed to the inside '5.6.57' indicating it was gifted in 1957. The inscription reads 'Princesa Covadonga' which in English translates to 'Princess Covadonga', with Covadonga a region in Spain. A really unusual dress ring which is bold in its form yet harmoniously balanced, and extremely elegant.

Size - 52/M
Total diamond weight - 0.52 carat
