Henry Dunay Brushed 18kt Gold Brooch Pin

We don't regularly get pieces by the American jeweller Henry Dunay, but when we do we get very excited. This beautifully textured brooch has been crafted in 18 karat yellow gold and has the look of a piece of stylised gold ribbon. The brooch is very typical of the Dunay taste, with the famed north American jeweller favouring textured gold, with this brooch having what could be described as a brushed 'Florentine' finish. To the rear the brooch has a stainless steel and yellow gold hinged pin with trombone clasp which is working well and secure. Henry Dunay (1935-2023) could be described as being one of America's greatest jewellers, with Elizabeth Taylor and Hillary Clinton counted among his clientele. This very modern brooch pin is probably only 20 or 30 years old, is in excellent condition, and is ready to be pinned on a beautiful blazer or even the brim of a fine hat.
