This knockout Retro period bracelet is a stunning example of 1940s cocktail jewellery. The fancy-link hollow gold bracelet has been crafted from 18 karat purity gold and centres on a four claw set octagonal step cut citrine. The citrine is flanked by two shoulders of synthetic carre cut rubies and old mine cut diamonds. Synthetic rubies were common during the Retro period, were usually of a high quality and in the instance of this bracelet one was lost during its lifetime and has been replaced with a natural ruby. The bracelet terminates with a domed snap catch and a detachable safety chain which is not pictured in the images. The bracelet is of a generous size and will fit medium to large wrists with relative ease. Whilst the piece is unmarked it is very likely that it was manufactured in the United States during the 1940s as many of the Retro period pieces were. In really lovely condition it is a truly beautiful bracelet for someone who loves bold gold jewellery.
