This recently reupholstered French settee dates to the 18th Century during the reign of Louis XVI. The carved walnut piece sits on four graceful, tapered and grooved legs which attach to its upholstered arm-wrests which are accented with acanthus leaves. The backrest of the piece features a central wreath of flowers and ribbon motifs to each side.
