Description
Crafted by one of the world's leading jewellery firms, this brooch has been made from platinum, turquoise, amethyst and diamonds. The brooch is signed 'Verdura' for the illustrious north American jewellery house founded by Duke Fulco di Verdura. The piece takes the form of a 'bouquet' which has been crafted in platinum, with the flowers in the form of cabochon turquoise, round cut amethysts and brilliant cut diamonds. The bouquet is tied with a diamond set 'bow' and each of the stems of the flowers have been further set with diamonds. Each of the diamonds are estimated to be of F colour and VS clarity totalling 2.71 carat. To the rear this very sculptural brooch has a hinged double pin and single safety roller catch which is working well and is secure. Whilst it is difficult to know when this particular brooch was crafted, it is likely that it was sometime in the last 20 years, in the time since Ward & Nico Landrigan revived the iconic jewellery house. The pin is signed Verdura and whilst probably only manufactured in recent decades is a beautiful example of jewellery by one of the world's most notable makers.
