Angela Cummings for Tiffany and Co 'Rose Petal' Necklace

We are delighted to have in our collection at present a rather impressive necklace by Angela Cummings for Tiffany and Company. The 18 karat yellow gold necklace has been crafted to mimic rose petals and is extremely naturalistic in its appearance. The golden petals are linked together with small jump rings while the necklace secures to the rear with a sturdy hook and loop clasp. At some point in its life there has been a base metal extension chain added to the closure allowing it to be extended in length, however this can very easily be removed from the necklace and has no impact on the construction of the piece. Angela Cummings worked for Tiffany from the 1960s and started her own collection for the firm in 1975, working for Tiffany through to around 1983. This particular necklace has a copyright symbol and the date 1979 stamped into the clasp, indicating it would likely date to the tail end of the 1970s. Cummings designs for Tiffany are some of the most coveted and collectable on the market, and this particular necklace presents in very good vintage condition with the usual signs of wear associated with age and use. A truly beautiful piece of very collectable Tiffany jewellery.
