An exceptional Art Deco, platinum and white gold ring set with diamonds. This ring is set with fine quality 'Old European Cut' diamonds which are placed in a beautifully engraved and scalloped gallery. The central diamond is of G colour and VS2 clarity, weighing 1.10 carat. This central stone is flanked by a pair of 0.40 carat diamonds, again of G colour and VS-SI clarity and a further 12 diamonds are set within the filigree shoulders and the sides of the gallery, each of G colour and SI clarity. The manufacture of the ring is likely to have taken place circa 1930, and is very likely to be Continental in origin. The underside of the 'shank' has been replaced at some stage in the life of this ring, probably as the band wore thin, however the adjustment has taken place seamlessly and is commensurate with age for an Art Deco ring of this style.
