An unusual glass vase by Bohemian maker, Loetz. The orange vase has a fine layer of blue steel glass known as 'ausfuehrung 134', in a crackle effect over the orange. The top of the piece is finished with more blue and has a scalloped ruffle edge. The bottom of the vase features a ground snapped pontil mark which tells us the piece was handblown. This particular piece dates to between 1911 and 1935 and is one of the more unusual pieces which Loetz produced.
