Description

 

A superb Gerorge II period oil on canvas portrait of an English gentleman. The picture, which dates to circa 1750, has been framed in a later sympathetic frame and has been recently cleaned to reveal its original colour. The gent featured, due to his clothing, wig, and adornments, would likely be an aristocrat or person of high wealth. A really wonderful picture of a rather camp Georgian man which is in lovely condition for its age.
