Description

Crafted from 18 karat yellow gold, this pair of ear clips have been designed to be interchangeable and convert into 8 different pairs of earrings. Designed by the talented Gilbert Albert (1930-2019) who was born in Switzerland, the gold 'comma' style ear clips have a section that allows small spheres of semiprecious stones to be inserted, allowing the pair to transform into 8 different looks. The small 13 milimeter spheres comprise of rock crystal, black onyx, blue chalcedony, rhodochrosite, amazonite, red resin, ruby zoisite and a further unidentified pair. The pair have clip fittings to the rear which hold the spheres in place, and feature a small silicone insert that softens the hold on the ear. Gilbert Albert was a jeweller known for his extremely contemporary designs, often utilising unusual materials and even at one point designed watches for Omega. The wonderful thing about this pair of earrings is that you can change the look to match the occasion - black onyx for an evening event or bright pink rhodochrosite for a summery cocktail party.

Marked - '750' for gold purity and Gilbert Albert monogram

Measure - 2.8cm L (gold clip)

Total weight of pair - 13.5 grams (sans any gemstones)
