Ormolu Three Piece Desk Set with Malachite Cabochons

A Continental, gilded bronze (ormolu), three piece desk set with malachite cabochons, from the 19th century. This beautiful set is in lovely condition for its age with the gilded finish to the bronze still bright and rich in colour. The malachite cabochons are of good colour and are securely set. The suite comprises of a pen tray, desk tidy (small box) and a diminutive candlestick. This incredible set would not be out of place on a fine desk in a Russian palace.
