A fine 19th Century gilt-wood Federalist frame with bullseye convex mirror. The piece which dates to the mid 19th Century features a gilt timber eagle to the crest and three candle arms to the bottom which are original to the piece and are for taper candles. The porthole mirror is framed with acanthus and laurel leaf detailing which surround the sizeable convex mirror which appears to be original. This is the largest example of this type of mirror we have had and by far one of the finest examples on the market.
