This pair of pearl and diamond cocktail ear clips are substantial in size and come from the collection of the Counts of Hardenberg. The ear clips centre on a substantial mabe pearl, one measuring 16mm and the other 18mm and are surrounded by a white gold and diamond setting which is quatrefoil in shape. Each of the diamonds are single cut stones which are of G colour and VS-SI clarity totalling 72 pieces and 2.35 carat. The handmade settings are finished with a keyhole clip fitting which are both working well and are secure. From the '585' marking on the clips we are fairly confident in attributing their manufacture to Germany during the mid 20th century however have been unable to ascertain their maker. In very nice condition for their age, the pair only exhibit slight signs of wear in the form of slight abrasions associated with age and use. A lovely pair of cocktail ear clips which could be worn with a little black dress with ease.
