This rather beautiful diamond ring has been mounted in a handmade 18 karat white gold setting. The central round brilliant cut diamond is of H colour and SI1 clarity weighing 2 carat. This central diamond which has been 8 claw set is flanked by two baguette cut diamonds to each shoulder which are each of G colour and VS clarity that have been rubover set. The mount whilst stamped 'PLAT' for platinum actually tests as 18 karat white gold and shows signs of being resized during its life to accomodate a larger finger size. The ring is an exceedingly beautiful piece, however it has been well worn with micro abrasions to the surface of the gold mounting. The ring can be paired with plain gold bands or diamond eternity style bands for a more substantial look. A gorgeous engagement ring for a bride who wants a vintage piece which is also environmentally friendly.
