Crafted from platinum and set with diamonds, this ring dates to the height of the Art Deco period. The handmade platinum mount centres on a single, early brilliant cut diamond of H/I colour and VVS2 clarity totalling 0.75 carat. The diamond is surrounded by half halos of single cut diamonds, intercepted by two baguette cut diamonds on each shoulder. There is a further single cut diamond set in each shoulder of the platinum mount. All of the single and baguette cut diamonds are of G-I colour and VS-SI clarity and total a further 0.51 carat. Manufacture of the ring dates to approximately 1935, just prior to World War II with the piece evoking the strong design elements of the Art Deco period. A really gorgeous ring which could be purposed as a 21st century engagement ring for a to be bride who appreciates antique jewellery.
