18kt Yellow Gold 'Dolphin' Ear Clips With Diamonds

This pair of whimsical ear clips are modelled to depict ancient dolphins as they were rendered in Italian art. Crafted from 18 karat yellow gold, the ear clips are designed to sit at the bottom of the lobe and sweep up the ear. Parts of the body of each dolphin are satin finished, while other parts are highly polished giving areas more definition. Each ear clip's 'eye' has been bezel set with a single cut diamonds of G colour and VS clarity totalling 0.06 carat the pair. A further three diamonds are suspended from each dolphin in a teardrop shape, each brilliant cut and of H colour and VS-SI clarity totalling 0.09 carat. The pair terminate with a sprung yellow gold keyhole ear clip which are both working well and are secure. In Italian art from ancient times right through to the renaissance and even into the 18th and 19th century, dolphins were depicted as mythical creatures, in a very similar style to these ear clips. Beautifully made and incredibly whimsy, this pair of ear clips are going to be unlike anything your friends and family have seen before when you debut them.
