A monumental suite of Italian modernist furniture by famed Milanese designer, Vittorio Dassi (1893-1973).
This 1950s suite is comprised of an oversized sideboard with original illuminated mirror, a secondary taller sideboard, and a marble footed dining table with four accompanying chairs. Each piece features carved and gilded panels in the Mid Century Milanese taste, along with its original locks and keys.
The pieces designed by Dassi were executed by Milano firm, 'La Permanente Mobili Cantu,' who collaborated with artists like Dassi and Gio Ponti in the mid twentieth century. These three pieces were featured in 'Domestic Art - Curated Interiors' by Assouline and were formally in the collection of American businessman, Mickey Rosemarin.
