An exceptional diamond, aquamarine and lapis brooch pin set in a handmade silver setting. The piece centres on an emerald cut aquamarine of 'bright light to mid blue' colour weighing 8.15 carat. The aquamarine is flanked by a pair of cabochon pieces of round lapis lazuli that frame the central stone. The surround of the brooch is set with 46 round brilliant cut diamonds in various sizes, all of F colour and VS-SI clarity totalling 1.88 carat which form the final shape of the piece as a diamond kite shape. The pin whilst not marked has been acid tested as silver which is unusual for a piece of this quality, however not unheard of. To the rear the piece is finished with a hinged pin and trombone style clasp which is working well and is secure.
