Description

An ornately carved walnut folio stand or map case, with brass hinges and fittings. The walnut has a rich and warm patina, and the decoratively carved front panel sports a border of clover, and nine central carved panels. The centre panel features a knight's helmet above a monogrammed 'h', with flowers and scrollwork. This folio stand is intended for a library or study, with the fold-down panel being lined with green baize. The entire stand is on castors.
