Pair of Victorian Banded Agate Drop Earrings

This lovely pair of Victorian drop earrings were crafted from wonderfully matched banded agate. The earrings stem from shepherd's hooks crafted in 9 karat yellow gold from which hang a carved piece of banded agate in cream and brown hues, tipped with 9 karat yellow gold caps. Banded agate was extremely popular in the Victorian era and drop earrings like these were regularly worn. A beautiful pair of Victorian drop earrings which would be a lovely addition to a budding antique collector's jewel wardrobe.

Marked - unmarked but XRF tested as 9 karat gold
