Description

This pair of sterling silver ducks might just be the thing that is missing from your life. The life size pair have been hand crafted from sterling silver and feature parcel gilt bodies and hand engraved feathers which have been naturalistically rendered, along with beautifully crafted webbed feet. The heads of the ducks feature cabochon turquoise eyes which have been rub-over set and are secure. To the inside both are fully gilt washed meaning that internally they won't tarnish and allows any type of food to be served in them if desired. To the underside the ducks are marked for manufacture in Mexico by Tane who are highly regarded and began operation in 1942. The ducks are made from a substantial amount of sterling silver and combined weigh slightly over 3 kilograms. In very lovely condition, whilst these ducks would have only been made in the last 50 or so years they would make a superb addition to the centre of a dining table or on a sideboard in any living room.

Marked - 'MEXICO STERLING TANE' & 2 unidentified but likely maker's marks

Measure - 22cm H x 23cm L (each)

Total weight of pair - 3006 grams (pair)
