Description

This sizeable diamond ring was made by the illustrious North American jewellers, Tiffany & Company. The handmade platinum mount has been set with a central, four claw set, round brilliant cut diamond of I colour and VS1 clarity weighing 2.25 carat. The central diamond is flanked by two pear shaped diamonds which are each of H colour and VS clarity totalling an additional 0.56 carat together. The ring is fully hallmarked to the inside of the shank for manufacture by Tiffany and Co, and for platinum, and we believe the piece to have been crafted in the 1960s. The ring has been resized at some stage during its life which is evident to the rear of the shank, and has had two 'sizing bridges' added to the inside shank, which in essence make the ring slightly smaller in terms of its circumference and more stable on the finger. The ring could be re shanked if the resizing and the sizing bridges were of concern to create a more rounded shank. After a recent clean and polish by the Tiffany and Co boutique in Brisbane, the ring is looking beautifully sparkly and reminds you that diamonds are a girl's best friend. A substantial diamond ring by one of the best names in the business!
