A rare, Venetian Rococo commode with a serpentine front, raised by cabriole legs ending in carved goat hooves, circa 1760s. The piece is decorated with handpainted scenes of mythical figures including Mercury and Argus, Diana and Faunus, Apollo, Minerva, and others. With the exception of the locks, this piece is untouched from its 18th-century condition.
