This 1990s Rolex is known as an Oyster Perpetual Polar Explorer II GMT. The timepiece is crafted from stainless steel and retains its original stainless steel bracelet. Manufactured by Rolex in 1991 the watch has a calibre 3185 31 jewel automatic movement with date and GMT complications. The watch has a 48 hour power reserve and features tritium glow in the dark indices. Offered with its original retailing box the watch also has a warranty card from Rolex showing it was serviced in July of 2022 which gave it a 24 month guarantee from the time of service. The case and bracelet of the watch show signs of minor polishing, however this has likely taken place when the watch was serviced by Rolex in 2022. The Polar Explorer was first introduced by Rolex in the 1970s and further expanded their range to include white dialed versions in the 1980s, akin to this example. This particular example is in lovely condition and with its box and warranty card is a great addition to a watch collection or perhaps a starter piece for a Rolex enthusiast.
