This bold and well crafted brooch pin has been manufactured from yellow and white 18 karat gold and set with an array of white and yellow diamonds. The stylised 'artist's palette' is textured yellow gold from which a spray of diamonds pass through the centre like a starburst. The piece is set with 87 diamonds which comprise of 78 F/G colour VS-SI clarity white diamonds and a further 9 fancy colour yellow diamonds ranging in clarity from VS1 through to SI2 which together with the white diamonds total 5.08 carats. In terms of the cut of the diamonds, there are several that feature, from marquise, pear and baguette to the traditional 'brilliant' cuts. The brooch to the rear has a hinged pin crafted from rose gold and a roller catch which is working well and is secure. It should be noted that one of the yellow diamonds has a slight chip which is not particularly noticeable except when closely inspected. This striking piece is one of the most unusual in our collection and is sure to attract envious glances.
