Description

This very beautiful set of crystal shot or liqueur glasses were made by the famed Czech glassmaker, Moser. The glasses which are made from lead free crystal are in the 'Splendid' pattern which was first introduced by Leo Moser in 1911. The pattern features an ornate 24 karat gilt rim which sits atop of a very intricate cut crystal body and has been made in a variety of shapes and sizes throughout its history. The Splendid pattern has been a staple among some of the world's finest dining rooms for decades with the Czechoslovak president gifting the late Queen Elizabeth II a selection of Splendid crystal for her wedding in 1947. These particular glasses retain their original retailing labels to two of the pieces and have an acid etched signature to the underside which have helped us date their manufacture to post 1992, when Czechoslovakia became the Czech Republic. In near immaculate condition, the glasses have very few signs of wear, with no chips or cracks to the crystal, and even minimal wear to the undersides. A gorgeous example of Moser crystal which would make a beautiful gift for someone who appreciates beautiful things.

Marked - 'Moser' acid etched to underside and two original retailing stickers

Measures - 5.5cm H x 4.5cm W
