Bague en or jaune diamant et saphir

Crafted from solid 18 karat yellow gold, this rather unusual dress ring has been set with diamonds and two Ceylon sapphires. The ring centres on a pair of round cut, 'moderately bright mid blue, lightly included' Sri Lankan (Ceylon) sapphires which have been rub-over set. The sapphires are complemented by 14 round brilliant cut diamonds which are each estimated to be of H colour and VS clarity totalling approximately 0.50 carat. The asymmetric ring is unusual in its design and whilst it has a stamped signature on the inside of the shank, it is illegible and therefore we have been unable to attribute a maker. The ring whilst not a true antique, and is likely of fairly recent manufacture, is a beautifully made piece with very nice quality stones and could be worn daily without any trouble.
